As the parent of mixed-race daughters, I wanted to do something to honor their Asian heritage. I also wanted to give them a story with a strong female character fighting for the freedom to lead her life the way she wants. On the surface, it is the story of her chosen suitor fighting for the right to her hand, but the ending reveals that his strength comes from her.

After a long an exhaustive search, I finally found the right artist on Upwork. Diana Mishina has been working with me to bring the story to life visually. Below, please find the first few chapters.
