I went to the American Film Institute in Los Angeles for my MFA. AFI is perhaps best known for making lists of their top 100 movies of all time, but it is also a film school. I was accepted as a screenwriting fellow, and most of my time was spent in workshop-style writing classes where we reviewed screenplays and teleplays written by the students. Fun fact: I was the same year as Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman, and I think I held a boom mike on one of her very first shorts there.

In addition to writing a few feature length scripts, I tried my hand at writing for animation. I was a big fan of animated series like Batman TAS and the Men in Black series. Below you can find some sample scripts I wrote for both. Please bear in mind, these were never submitted to those production companies for consideration. They were just samples I wrote for school.
